What International Exhibitors Need To Know
ABOUT THE WINTER FANCY FOOD SHOW
The Winter Fancy Food Show presented by the Specialty Food Association is one of the country’s most acclaimed food shows. The 2019 show, to be held in San Francisco from January 13-15, will feature more than 80,000 specialty foods and beverages. The show welcomes 1,400+ exhibitors from all over the world and across many categories, from foods making their debut at the show, to those trailblazers that are lighting up the specialty food market. The mission of the Specialty Food Association is to champion, nurture and connect members to deliver innovative products and expand consumption of specialty foods.
If you’re an international exhibitor planning to attend this show, here are some fast facts and vital deadlines to know:
- Only Producer/Supplier and Representative Specialty Food Association Member companies are eligible to exhibit.
- International exhibitors wishing to present food products at this trade show must comply with all FDA requirements, including the applicable FSVP regulations mandated by the FDA. Foreign producers and suppliers that are subject to these regulations must appoint an FSVP Importer so that their food can enter the U.S. (including for trade shows), and companies must have the paperwork that proves that the food has been produced in compliance with Preventive Controls for Human Food regulation. The FSVP Importer must be physically located in the U.S. with an office that can be visited by the FDA.
- SFA’s Winter Fancy Food Show designated The Radius Group, Inc. for FSVP Importer Assistance.
- The Radius Group, Inc. (TRGI) identifies the following deadlines for the FSVP process for those international exhibitors requiring this verification to present at the Winter Fancy Food Show.
NOVEMBER PLANNING:
Appoint TRGI as FSVP and provide documents 60 days prior to the show’s opening date- by 11/30/18 (receive 20% discount on TRGI’S FSVP services as an international exhibitor at this show)
